(A note for those of you not from Scotland: Heather "The Weather" Reid forecasts the weather on BBC Scotland (national TV))
This has nothing to do with BPhO or IPhO, but I thought it should go in here anyway. In September 2003 I recieved a letter telling me I had "Done Well" in Higher Physics, and the Institute of Physics in Scotland whanted my details, and asking if it was allright to tell them. I heard nothing more for months, then I was told that I had scored the highest mark in Higher Physics (like AS level) that year in the whole of Scotland! So, I was invited to Stirling to be presented with some books by Heather (who is also a qualified meterorologist in addition to being on telly).
